In June 2017, URBACT III ranked the strategic plan “Heraklion, a smart city” as one of the 97 good practices of European cities in all urban policies.
Another recognition for the “Heraklion, smart city” project. The design, the participating process, the roadmap of projects but also the branding of the city to have a strong city positioning over time will become stronger and with more successful results for citizens, businesses and visitors.
We have a special focus on all the creative people in the city, which with their excellence and innovative initiatives strengthen the local knowledge economy.
